[xmlroff] How important is small caps? [Was: Support for small caps font variant?]

The response to Debacle's Pango bug report about small caps [1] hasn't
been all that illuminating so far: 'Yep, "small caps" is not
implemented.'

How important is it at this point that xmlroff supports small caps?
